Popular Buffalo Breakfast to Expansion in 2022

[ad_1]

One of our favorite places for breakfast, and it’s not just because they have amazing boozy coffees.

Sophia’s Restaurant, located at 749 Military Rd, Buffalo, opened in 1981 and gained national attention when it appeared on the Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Inns, and Dives, hosted by Guy Fieri. The restaurant appeared in the season 8 episode “And The Kicker Is” Guy had the following to say:

“Nothing is quite as authentic as your classic American restaurant, like this popular place run by Sophia herself. With many years of experience, this place has something for everyone. Try their souvlaki, fresh breads of the day or the ever popular Open-Faced Steak Sandwich that draws us in when we’re in Buffalo every time. A wonderful comfort food restaurant that proudly serves delicious breakfasts, brunches and lunches. Great food that prepares fresh portions and plentiful for the price. It is often a difficult choice to order the right thing as there is so much goodness to choose from. The service here is super friendly and helpful, to help you make the right choice according to your whims. If you are a coffee fan you will love their house beer and be happy because they are always full. Weekends tend to be a bit busy with parking so be sure do you have to come early to get the best places “

So even Guy knew in 2007 that Sophia could use more seats and more parking. These issues should be addressed when they open their new expanded location, which will increase capacity to over 100 seats and take up space in the old Catch 22 bar and grill.

If you’ve never been there, I would personally recommend the Cinnamon Walnut French Toast, with Mudslid coffee.
