Jamie Chua in Paris: Here is his itinerary, including a catch-up with Sharon Au and several trips to Louis Vuitton, Lifestyle News

With the new vaccinated travel lanes (VTLs), many travel hungry people have rushed to book tickets outside of Singapore on their own.

This includes local socialite Jamie Chua, 48, who recently flew to Paris with her partner, Terence Koh.

From browsing thousand dollar linen sheets to reuniting with famous friend Sharon Au, here are some of the highlights from Jamie’s trip to the City of Love, which she shared in a recent vlog.

Chilling at Louis Vuitton (more than once)

Jamie is known for her huge collection of branded goods, so it’s no surprise that she spent much of her trip in designer boutiques like Louis Vuitton.

And while many would assume that the socialite can just buy whatever she wants with a swipe of a credit card, she actually seems to spend some time deliberating on an item before making a purchase.

For example, she struggled to choose between a cashmere throw and a piece of furniture, but leaned more towards the throw because “it’s cheaper”.

On another occasion, she casually dropped by the store to rest and grab a hot coffee and champagne as it had been a “bit rough day” due to the weather.

If you didn’t know by now, former host and local actress Sharon Au, 46, has been living and working in France for a few years.

So, since Jamie and Terence were in Paris, they took the opportunity to catch up with Sharon around a drink and light snacks.

The group then headed to a bridge across from the Eiffel Tower to help each other take Instagram-worthy photos.

Another place on the couple’s itinerary was D. Porthault Paris, which is famous for its luxurious embroidered and printed linens.

After a few hiccups they finally found the store and Jamie considered purchasing a gorgeous embroidered linen bed set – at least until she found out it would cost at least € 18,000 (S $ 27,798). .

“Oh my god. I think I’ll buy the simple one [instead]she laughs.

Let yourself be tempted by delicious French cuisine

When abroad, feasting on local food is a must, and that’s exactly what Jamie and Terence have done.

On the first day of their trip, the couple headed to Crepe Avenue, a French cafe specializing in sweet and savory pancakes.

“We noticed that a lot of the restaurants we visited have sort of closed, possibly due to the pandemic,†says Jamie. “Well, we’re happy to be able to eat our favorite pancakes. “

For another meal, they drank and dined at Restaurant le Meurice Alain Ducasse, a chic two-Michelin-starred restaurant.

They also visited the classic French bistro Joséphine Chez Dumonet, where they indulged in stuffed morels (stuffed mushrooms) and langoustines.

Can’t get enough of Jamie’s trip? Well, she hasn’t finished documenting her adventures yet. At the end of the video, she shares that this is just the first part of her Parisian vlog – good news for people who vicariously live her travels.
