the growing season is now for Netflix The final table Star and acclaimed Houston chef, Aaron Bludorn. He recently acquired a lease at Rice village for a new concept that will debut in summer 2022. Over the past year, Bludorn has won local notoriety from cooking new dishes of American and French inspiration to collaboration with other Houston entities. Its flagship restaurant, Bludorn, a neighborhood restaurant in Fourth Ward, was our choice for Houston’s best new restaurants in 2020.

After many successes, Chef Bludorn plans to expand his activities. “From the moment we decided to move to Houston from New York, our goal was to open up several concepts, and the opportunities that we knew the city would offer to do so were key in choosing the city of Bayou over other places to plant roots, â€Aaron Bludorn said in a press release.

The Houston-based chef will be joined by his wife, restaurateur Victoria bludorn, and managing director / partner, Cherif Mbjodibecause they use the old mid-century modern home of the 7,100 square foot Politan Row food hall. Despite the pandemic, the trio have brought Bludorn to the top spot of one of the country’s hottest restaurants since August 2020. It’s likely their new project will again attract large audiences.

“We are so grateful for the unwavering support of a phenomenal team who have created something incredibly special with Bludorn – against all odds of the pandemic – allowing us to take this exciting next step due to its success.”

The new concept will be a welcome addition to brand extensions including Bludorn Catering and Events and Bludorn at Home, an upscale chef-prepared dining program featuring the restaurant’s most popular dishes and holiday specials. It will also join several unique local dining options like Rome, Sof Hospitality Group’s Bakery & Café Badolina, Clark Cooper Concepts’ Coppa Osteria, and other long-standing classics.
