“I absolutely recommend trying this place. If you like Neapolitan style wood-fired pizzas. This place will not let you down. Their rind is thin with a good charred taste and they have a good selection, no wines. Their roasted seasonal veggies were on the next level, but the Calabrian peppers really elevate the dish. Definitely worth a try. – Jorge D.

“Cicoria is one of our favorite places for pizza, salads and cocktails. These are the same people behind Ava Gene’s, so you know their attention to detail and focus on high quality ingredients is what sets them apart from the rest of the great pizzas we have around Portland. I also made the pizza-sized cookie as a surprise for my family who was in town, and it’s a jaw-dropping dessert to end an amazing meal with. -Erik P.
Pizza and brasserie in the old town
Pizza and brasserie in the old town has been making pizzas with a family recipe based on high quality ingredients, a commitment to tradition and a passion for craftsmanship since 1974. The famous Shanghai Tunnels in Portland are located just above Old Town Pizza & Brewing . In the early 1900s, kidnapped sailors were held captive in the same tunnels. The Accuardi family opened the doors to the now iconic Portland institution in 1974, and it has a long history.
The Merchant Hotel lobby has become the trendiest pizzeria in town. Fans of Old Town Pizza remember the restaurant as a thriving meeting place for Portland’s revolutionary rulers in the 1970s. At the time, actor Willem Dafoe was a regular and was usually found sitting on the mezzanine on a sofa.
